Welcome to

POLY-CHAR [Halle | Siegen] 2022

May 22, 2022 to May 25, 2022

Together with the worldwide POLY-CHAR community we were able to welcome in May 2022 more than 100 participants for the annual International Polymer Characterization Forum with associated 1 day short course. In addition to POLY-CHAR’s traditional focus on Polymer synthesis, characterization and application, a particular focus of this conference was be laid on (i) Circular economy of polymers and sustainable applications as well as (ii) Polymers for biomedical applications.

To ensure unrestricted worldwide participation in times of global uncertainty regarding travel restrictions due to the COVID-19 pandemic POLY-CHAR [Halle | Siegen] 2022 was organized as live digital event. The high quality of the contributions and lively discussions showed that the POLY-CHAR community made it well through the pandemic and looks forward to meet in January 2023 in Auckland (New Zealand).

POLY-CHAR 2023 World Forum on Advanced Materials and “Short Course on Polymer Characterization” (postponed from 2021 & 2022)

January 22, 2023  to  January 27, 2023

The Annual Forum on Advanced Materials brings together professors, students and people from industry involved in theory, experiment and computer simulations under one roof to achieve systemic understanding of connections between structures, interactions, processing and properties in polymer materials science. This is a long-term activity, not aimed at temporary fashions.

From the very beginning one of the important aims of the conference is to give young scientists a forum to present their result and to meet with distinguished scientists from all over the world. The conference to set its mark in all parts of the work in order so that students and scientists from all parts of the world have a chance to participate at least occasionally.
